Heavenly Father, Grant us the Humility that realizes its ignorance, admits its mistakes, and recognizes its needs. A Humility that always welcomes advice, submits to Your Wisdom, and accepts Reproof, Refrain, and Rebuke. LORD, help us to always Praise rather than criticize, to sympathize rather than discourage, to build rather than destroy, and to think people are always trying their circumstantial best, rather than preferably failing at their worst. ABBA Father, we acknowledge, that You did not exploit Your Divinity as a way to avoid Humility. Instead, You did the unthinkable: You Humbled Yourself by wrapping Yourself in the vulnerability of the Human flesh, and became man, exposed to all our frailties and sufferings. LORD, and even though You were equal with GOD, You did not count equality as something to be grasped. Wonderful Counselor, help us to learn to empty ourselves with the same profound selflessness You portrayed. LORD, what can compare with our Creator, condescending to become human, His Creation? You gave up Your rights as King of the Universe, and chose to be born a Jewish peasant baby, in the most impoverished of circumstances, but even then You were Heralded by Angels, Worshiped by Wise men, and sought after by Kings! Awesome Teacher, Your Humility stretched throughout Your lifetime, and You remained Humble and Obedient, even unto Your humiliating death. A most awful, horrific, spiritually terrifying death, You did not even deserve, for You lived a sinless life, but Your Humility in death, was for us who were Rebelling against You, and Humiliated You. Oh LORD!! Your Good Book, tells us the irony of it all ~ “CHRIST Redeemed us from the curse of the, Law by becoming a curse for us – for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree” ELOHIM, be with us as we sing the ironies of Christmas, the incomprehensible comprehended, the helpless Babe who cracks the world asunder, and conquered man with His Humility. We kneel before You, Humbled by the oxymoron of the King called CHRIST, who ruled by being a Carpenter. So help us to rise bigger by becoming lesser, AMEN!!
