Are You spending too much on his Gift?

Getting gifts for your beau can be extremely stressful and overwhelming. You want to get something that he'll be surprised about, love, appreciate, cherish,  and you want to gain the "best girlfriend ever" title...whew!    Talk about a task!.. In your quest to be the worlds greatest girlfriend, you find yourself facing major dilemmas --> Are you going overboard with his gift? How much is too much? 

Unfortunately there's no specific rule that says how much is appropriate to spend, it just depends on what you can realistically afford. To some of you $300 feels like $10. Be mindful that price tags on gifts do not make you a better girlfriend or future wife. 

I LOVE to spoil people with gifts and due to my splurging I've learned some harsh lessons in going overboard... so here's a few things to keep in mind when worried about spending way too much.

Give yourself a gift limit (Does he really need 2 pairs of shoes, a jacket and 3 shirts?)

Make him earn your amazing gifts (If your relationship is still fresh, don't do too much. He has to work for what you have to offer. Don't give too much too soon. As my mom says, "You want to know that he wants you for you! Not for what you got.")

Don't go shopping right after he does something amazingly sweet for you (Chances are his charm has mesmerized you and you're apt to over spend when you're full of butterflies.)

Give from the Heart (Haven't you heard...Sometimes the best gifts are free! The worlds greatest gift doesn't have to cost you $500. Guys can be simpler than you think. Get creative!)
