We Declare that: Our National Leaders are God’s representatives, our Government, including the Prime Minister, President, Leader of the Senate, Speaker of the House, Opposition Leader, Chief Secretary of the THA, Chief Justice, Police Commissioner — they all function with divine authority,that they govern skilfully and with Godly wisdom; that they are surrounded by men and women of integrity. We declare that discretion watches over them, understanding keeps them and delivers them from the way of evil and from evil men. Blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord, so Trinidad and Tobago receive your blessing, we dwell safely in this land! We declare that the hearts of our leaders are in Your hand and their decisions are divinely directed. We declare that there is no place for wickedness or corruption in those who have authority over us in any way.
