Too Many Ideas Prevent Action

Too many ideas and not enough time.
Source
I have a confession to make ladies! I'm a huge dreamer that gets lost in my ideas. What I realized is all of my self proclaimed amazing ideas inturrupts the work needed to make these dreams happen. I can be sitting at my desk working on something very important and start thinking about what else I could do to add to what I'm working on. Once my thoughts start flowing, I'll completely stop what I'm doing and won't come back to it for another week or so. It's a horrible habit.

This year just seems like a year of action. It's so easy for us to get caught up in how we are going to make our dreams happen that we forget to actually start. Even worse, we don't know how to start because we have so many ideas to add on to the vision God has placed in us. It's so important to work on one thing at a time and progressively add ideas that will improve what you're doing.

The bible speaks of diligence in Proverbs 21:5 and how we profit from being diligent. Diliginece simply means to be attentive to something, to concentrate on it. When you are able to focus on one thing at a time you'll be in a position to really benefit from what God is trying to get out of you or get to you. My mind runs 5,000 miles per hour so for me to slow down is extremely difficult but I know it's important if I want to see my ideas prosper and continuously grow.

Having ideas are great and necessary, however don't let your dreams just be ideas. Make them realities. Take the ideas you already have and write them down on 1 piece of paper (or if your like me,10 pieces of paper..lol) put them in order according to what's most important. Now it's time to get to work! Whatever you placed as your #1 priority, start it. When you find yourself not being able to focus...slow down, take a couple of deep breathes and keep going. As time goes by you'll notice all of your ideas will come together as well as you're being more productive.

The hardest part of making dreams happen is actually starting. But trust me... with a little bit of diligence and support, you'll get there!
